There are many ways to promote the release to a new song and this is done because the artist was not to get as many people to know about the song as possible. the artist would also want the people to buy his songs and  by advertising it to, there will be more people that will know the song and would buy it. there are many ways to promote the artist new single, an example would be to make it go viral all around the world, bringing in a bigger audience for the artist and also introducing different genres of music across the globe. Ed Sheeran has promoted his song by advertising it in many channels and radio. the song had no music video before and he recently made a music video for the song, he made the video after because then the song will be re-release in a way because the song will be known by more people and the music video could reach out to a new crowd of people that the artist alone would not be able to do. for example, Ed sheeran with his single 'Give me love' in his new album. By advertising the song on channels such as the mainstream TV would also be a great way to promote the music video, this is because there are many people that watches channels such as ITV1 and by advertising the song there, then there will be a huge increase of people who will know the song. YouTube is also a great way to promote the music artist song because there are millions of people who goes on YouTube and artist will be more know if he makes links to his Facebook page, or artist website.

This song called 'Hey Ya' is from an American Hip Hop duo. i thought that this video was good in visual representation because it shows that the artist is a sort cool, funky, groovy, and fun type of character. this is shown by the attitude they give and how they act in the music video. music videos on streaming websites such as YouTube, is used to help the artist to be seen by globally, rather than having to wait months to see them do a live performance which is extremely useful because most of the audience discover new artist every day and because of that, the popularity of the artist would increase. the music video so far has nearly 26 million view en counting. the majority of people would of already known it by now because this was a success for the song itself and for the way the artist acted. i think that without the music video being in the way that it is wouldn't of made such a success as it has made now because the the music video is what makes this song stand out from the other music video that are made from other artist. what also makes this music video different is that they set the scenario as being in the backstage then going out to perform live in front of people. the video is simple but makes an effect.

to extend the playability of and provide additional income from a song

The artist for this song who is Ed Sheeran has his ways of advertising his songs. there are many ways of getting more income to the music video and one of the ways that the artist used was to make a direct like from the music video from YouTube to the artist's website on iTunes where the viewer can buy the song online and this is a good way of raising the income. the problem now is that most people does not but the album, they simply download the album illegally from the internet. this causes a problem for the artist because he would not get the amount of money that he should be getting and he would be getting. however, there will be more people that will be known of the artist and the website in which to buy the album in so this is what the artist would be hoping to achieve because this will help him get as much fans as he should be have. having more ways to make the audience connect to the artist such as a direct link to the artist website or to a site to download the song from would help the artist a lot because there will be more, and more is better.

This helps the artist get more views and fans and be more well known as its a main soundtrack from the film so it helps both the film and the artist by increasing their audience more as people  might have not known about Pitbull before the film was released. the music video for this is much more better because it will reach out to more different types of viewers and the song will be in a movie and that will  cause two different types fans together and that would be a great news for the artist because more people will know the song and it would become a success. in the song video, the music video had various scenes from the movie 'the men in black lll' and this helps both types of businesses gain more money that they would get on their own but also to promote themselves at to get more viewers.

Some music video does not have he singer in the video, art video are videos that show art and shows a short story that is behind the song and the music video. these kind of videos are unique in because it is not like all the other typical music video and these music video stands out from the rest. in most artistic music videos, the artist does not appear in the video. this type of video wins a lot of viewers because the in most artistic music videos shows and tells a story  and it could be anything, from Teardrop from Massive Attack to Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. these two music video are very different from each other because the music video for Teardrop shows a baby in a whom and the music video for Radioactive is about war and shows videos from war in he war. however, both music video sends out a message to the world, for example, Radioactive massage is to war and violence. 

 

This is another example of an artistic video and it is called the scientist by Coldplay. i think that this is an artistic music video because it is not like the other typical music video because on this video, everything goes backwards. the first thought i had about this music video was  that something bad happened and he wanted everything to go back to how it was. it seems as if the story behind the video is that there is a scientist and he loses someone so then he puts the blame on himself because he thinks it's his fault, he feels as though he's been neglecting the person he lost. 

music video like this makes you think and makes you wonder on what is happening and what meaning behind he music video is. this song was a success and there are millions of people around the world that listens and like this song. the artist makes this video really clear and was thoughtful about what to do because having the everything go backwards makes the viewer think about what is happening.

There are many outlets that music videos are shown in, this is because the music video would be shown to as many viewers as possible so that then the song will be well known and popular. The purpose of a music video is to To give the listener a better understanding of the song and also to entertain the listener.

The downloads is a good way listen to your favorite music for free and to put it in your phone without the trouble  of buying it. Most people in now-a-days download the songs free instead of buying the album but it is illegal. people download songs because it is an easier was to carry it around without having to carry the CD and you could also import the song into any devices. the down side to downloading songs off the Internet is that the artist wont get as much amount of money that the artist should get because not a lot of people are buying the official album from the artist because most people are downloading the songs illegally off of the Internet.

the artist website is when the artist posts their song video and they could also post extra videos such as being in backstage of the music video or a concert. the artist could also promote the song. the artist could also talk about what the song is such as what its about and why they like it. in the artist website you will get many more exclusive videos then just the official music video. the people that will go on the artist website are people that is a huge fan of the artist. However, for the artst website is that not all artiist has webites, only the more known and popular artists has websites. the less known artists wouldnt be able to afford an artist website even if they were better then the main artist these days. so becasue of that, the less know artists cant get their songs across to the world.

 Mainstream TV

mainstream TV is one of the best ways for the artist to put out their song and to advertise their song because there are many people who watches mainstream TV and the song will be seen by everyone. this is a great way to make the music and album become popular as everyone will know about the album and it will quickly spread around the world. the down side of this is that it cost a huge amount of money to get the song in he mainstream channel so only the rich artist such as Rhianna would be able to pay the mainstream TV to advertise their song, but apart from that, the song will become a big success if it will be in the mainstream channel. the less well know artist would not be able to afford to put their song on a mainstream channel and this is a big disadvantage because they could be better then the others. by having the artist song in a mainstream channel, they will make a huge amount of money because the song will be everywhere and the artist will get money every time the song is shown. mainstream is more for the artist that are more well known and for those that are wealthy and could afford to put their song in a mainstream channel. Music channels is easy to access and it is on 24/7 another advantage would be that there are constant advertisements to promote the video. however you have to pay for the TV license, they do not show the whole video and this could mean you would have to buy a CD or go online to find the music video which takes time.

streaming is a a great way to release your song because there will be millions of people watching it live in a streaming website. YouTube is now one of the most popular, well known and well used websites. YouTube is used by millions around the world so streaming the artist song in YouTube is another great way of spreading the song. one of the great uses of YouTube and why it is very successful is because it links with other social networking such as Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr which could be an easy access to YouTube. there are also many company's and brands that advertise their product or brand on YouTube which would give YouTube more money and the Company more audience.

music channels are also a one of the best ways to get the artist song noticed. usually on the music channels, why make a top 50 and this will show if the people likes the artist's music video but in order to be on the top 50, there are many challenges which is to make the music video up to date and more modern. but once again, only the will know artist will have a high change of being in the top 50 because there are already millions of people following them and is always up to date about them. the least popular artist will have not much of a change to the superstars. the only way for the artist to end on on the top 50 is to have a unique music video such as Gangnam Style. An advantage for the music channel is that it is open to a wide variety of music genres for example, there are different channels for different genres of music. this would be extremely useful to the audience because everyone has a different taste in music and having a wide range of music channels can help the viewer to listen to the music they would want to listen to. one of the down side to music channels is that each time the channel shows three to four songs then have advertisement for five minutes and that could be frustrating for the viewer and could make then turn the channel.

this is sold in many stores and because it is the official CD/DVD, it could include special and exclusive video from the artist, such as an interview  or backstage during the filming. only the people who are a huge fan of the artist buys it and it helps the artist gain money and it also helps the music video becomes a success. most other people  downloads the song on the internet nowadays because it is free and can also transfer the song to any device. but then the artist will not get as much as money they should get but that is one of the down sides of the CD/DVD because you have to carry it everywhere around with you. the CD/DVD has many more editions not to try to get people to buy the album such as a signed autograph because you wont get that no where else. what i think about the CD/DVD is that its good but now everyone downloads songs on the intent so then the artist is wasting most of their money on making copies of their albums.
