Are there any
areas of the presentation you would like to give any more detail on?
I would improve
most of my slides considering that i was nervous and did not say all that i
could have said. I could explain the each slide briefer and make it clearer. An
example of this would be on the cast and crew slide where i could of say why i
have picked them and if i think they could do the job well. Another example
would be the analysis of song because i did not do in depth and say what the
meaning of the song and story of the song is. This could make the audience
confuse and not understand it as much as i do. An area that i would change
would be the target audience because from the feedback, i realised that the target
audience was too steep as it was 16 to 50 but I would change it to 13 to
25. In general, there would be a wide
amount of improvements that I would change to the pitch.
What did you
audience identify as the strengths of your music video idea?
The audience has
helped identify the mistakes and improvements that I could add to the pitch and
also given me ideas of how to make the video more sharpened such as adding more
camera techniques and to add emotions to the video. To add feelings to the
music video, the actors would have to make good body expressions and facial
expressions. I mentioned that the convention would be narrative because it is
more affective to the audience and enjoyable as it is a short film. Another Strength
that would be the location as it will go with the song well because I have
chosen a park and places that are not too busy and it would also fit in well
with the song.
What did your
audience identify as areas for improvement?
The audience
mentioned that the weakness of my pitch was that it was not clear and I don’t think
that I have sent out what my idea was. To improve it I could have expanded on
what my idea of what my video was and what the storyline of the video is. Another
area that I could have improved was the star persona because I have not talked
a lot of what I want the main actor to act and how he will come across as. I would
also change the age group because it was said to be too wide and so I have to
change it to a more specific amount of people. Another weakness would be the
location because I do not have a lot of location that I will be filming in and
that could affect the video because there will be shots of the same places many
times. if I would film in another place, I would choose the school because it
fit in well with the song it also helps in being more realistic so that the audience
would be able to relate to it.
What changes
will you make to your music video concept based on the feedback you received?
I will use the feedback
that the audience have given me to improve my idea and take in consideration
how I could improve it. I would have to add more locations to film in to make
the music video more interesting and so that the audience could link to the
video. I would also have to check my cast and crew to make sure if they are
willing to help and if they have accessories such as clothes so that I would
not have to spend over the budget amount. I have also decided to change the
story from being a relationship problem/heartbreak to a typical day of a child
that goes to school. This will also fit in well with the song because the song.
The reason for this is because I thought that there are many relationship music
videos so I thought of doing something different than the rest.
